[MUSIC PLAYING] Hello. My name is Chad Taylor, managing partner with MDT Financial Advisors here in Houston, Texas.

A new year means new tax changes. While Congress didn't pass any major tax reform last year like they did with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act back in 2017, there are still updates to the tax code that could affect how much money you keep and how much money goes to Uncle Sam. With this video, I've included a link to some of the most significant tax-related changes for investors, pre-retirees, and the newly retired.

My suggestion-- look over the material and circle any information you have questions about, then feel free to share this information with your tax professional. He or she should be able to answer any questions you have.

Of course, if you aren't currently working with a tax professional, we'd be happy to make a recommendation to a good one.

One last thing, as you know, tax season is upon us. To help reduce the stress of tax season, your accountant or tax preparer may contact us directly for any needed information. We're always happy to coordinate with any other professionals you work with to minimize your workload.

As always, if there's anything our team or I can do for you or be of assistance, please let us know. Have a great month.
